The Story
Leadership Uncorked was founded by Scott Beilke and Donna Brighton. We both have a passion for seeing people flourish when they are empowered by leaders who lead well. Because of this, helping leaders become the best they can be is at the core of everything we do. Our other passions are continuous learning, personal growth and exploration of our world. Wine experiences are one of the many things we do that check all 3 of those boxes!
Leadership Uncorked is the result of our work with leaders, where we took notice of the additional insights gained from relaxed conversations over a glass of wine. We have seen how wine creates instant connections between people, allowing an openness to listen and understand that otherwise would not be present. Is there really anything new on the topic of leadership? Likely not, but what if you heard the concepts differently and really understood how to apply them in a fresh way? We have seen it happen frequently during our events and experiences, and that is the difference that Leadership Uncorked makes.

Donna Brighton
I am a culture change strategist, leadership coach, masterful facilitator, and keynote speaker. I thrive when I am helping leaders lead from the exponential power that comes from the core of who they are, rather than trying to fit into a leadership mold. Leaders who lead this way, while passionately living out their purpose and being intentional about culture, make the most of their potential while creating profit for stakeholders and flourishing workplaces for employees. That means that when people come to work, it’s a place where they love what they do and they become the best of who they are meant to be; everyone wins!
My leadership journey includes helping found and lead the Global Association of Change Management Professionals for 9 years, as well as building a ridiculously successful management consulting practice for another company.
I believe in creating real solutions and meeting real needs. So almost fifteen years ago, I started Brighton Leadership Group, a company that is about leadership, excellence and making a difference in the world. With the help of my team, we have helped leaders with great tools, written content, highly successful results-focused consulting, candid coaching and advising, and customized speaking services. Our content includes the Culturally Intelligent Change approach, The Flourishing Workplace book, and the Rebel Leader Field Guide series of leadership books. And there really is a whole lot more!
My passion is making connections (people to people, people to ideas, and ideas to ideas!). A few years ago, I noticed that great conversations between leaders often happened with a glass of wine in hand. Leadership Uncorked was created, and the rest is history!
Like my partner Scott below, I sit on boards and mentor young entrepreneurs and executives. On the personal side, I love spending time with family and friends, constantly seek to learn and explore, and cheer wildly for the Pittsburgh Steelers. You will usually find me with a glass of wine in my hand.

Scott Beilke
I am an executive coach, advisor, culture change strategist and a Maverick at heart. At the core of my work, I am a passionate advocate for the flourishing of human potential in the workplace. Too often we, as leaders, create organizational environments that are not conducive to individuals realizing their full potential for themselves and the organizations they serve.
Leadership doesn’t have to be hard. I believe that you deserve to have all the support you need to succeed at exponentially higher levels. I know exactly what it’s like to face the unique challenges and the isolation of leadership while accomplishing the impossible. In fact, I not only work with some of the world’s largest and most influential brands like Guardian Life, Bayer, AMD and Kraft Foods, I have led my own organizations to achieve breakthrough results…and I’ve done it more than once.
I’ve shared some of my experiences helping senior leaders accelerate organizational strategy and resolve tough organizational culture challenges in the 2014 book “Build the Culture Advantage.” I also share my thinking on culture transformation as a founding faculty member at CultureUniversity.com.
In addition to my coaching, advisory, and consulting work, I sit on boards and mentor young entrepreneurs and executives. On the personal side, I love spending time with family and friends, enjoy competitive swimming, constantly seek to learn and explore, and cheer wildly for the Green Bay Packers. You will usually find me with a glass of wine in my hand.

How do you learn about wine?
One of the most interesting things about wine is that it is constantly changing and evolving; we can’t learn it all. For us, this really connects with our desire for continuous growth and discovery. We learn about wine by experiences as much of it as we can. Leadership Uncorked gives YOU a chance to experience different wines which will develop your palate and open you to varietals, regions and wine you never knew you liked!
